The collar designed with your Italian Greyhound in mind.

Made in the UK using the softest Italian Dollaro embossed leather handpicked perfectly just for your Italian Greyhound. The leather is flexible yet durable being made double sided for a super smooth and caringly comfortable inside surface which sits perfectly against your delicate pooches neck.

The leather is thoughtfully thinned where doubled back on itself around the solid brass buckle and D ring for a much less bulky, breed appropriate fit, which so many other collars fail to achieve.

I decided to design this collar for my own fabulous Iggy, ‘Greg’, after purchasing endless collars which were meant for the breed but were either too big, too chunky, hard, inflexible and uncomfortable but worst of all gave my beautiful boy chafing sores on his delicate, thin skinned neck due to an unfinished or inappropriate material sitting against his skin.

My charmingly designed collar was created to prevent any of these issues being a problem for your graceful Italian Greyhound’s elegant neck.

Made with love and thoughtfulness in the UK.

Please never leave a collar on your dog if they are unattended for their own safety 🐶

Caring for a leather dog collar is important to maintain its durability and appearance. Here are some tips:

1. Regular Cleaning

  • Wipe Down: Regularly wipe the collar with a damp cloth to remove dirt, sweat, and oils.
  • Mild Soap: If the collar is particularly dirty, use a small amount of mild soap (like a gentle hand soap or specialized leather cleaner) on a damp cloth, then wipe it down. Avoid soaking the collar.

2. Avoid Water Exposure

  • Keep Dry: Leather is sensitive to water, which can cause it to shrink, warp, or crack. Remove the collar if your dog is swimming or bathing.
  • Drying: If the collar does get wet, blot it dry with a towel and let it air dry at room temperature, away from direct heat sources like radiators or sunlight, which can dry out and damage the leather.

3. Conditioning

  • Leather Conditioner: Apply a leather conditioner every few months to keep the leather soft and supple. This helps prevent drying and cracking. Be sure to choose a conditioner suitable for the type of leather used in the collar.

4. Storage

  • Cool, Dry Place: Store the collar in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid storing it in plastic, which can trap moisture and cause mildew.

5. Check for Wear

  • Inspect Regularly: Regularly check the collar for signs of wear and tear, such as cracks, weak spots, or loose stitching, to ensure it remains safe and comfortable for your dog.

6. Avoid Chemicals

  • No Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using harsh chemicals or cleaners on leather, as they can damage the material and strip its natural oils.

By following these care guidelines, you can keep your leather dog collar in great condition, ensuring it lasts longer and looks better over time.
